A man intentionally drove his motor home into the Timber Pub & Grub tavern, in Boring, early Saturday as the establishment was closing down for the night, Clackamas County authorities reported.
Only a small number of people were still milling around at the time of the 2 a.m. incident, and no one was hurt, the sheriff’s office said. Police found the driver walking around afterward.
Update: The driver has been identified as Larry Dale Karasch.
“The driver did not appear to be injured from the crash, but had several self-inflicted wounds on his arms,” according to a news release. “The driver was cited and transported to an area hospital, where his wounds would be treated and his mental health will be evaluated.”
It was not immediately clear how much damage the tavern, at 28052 S.E. Highway 212, sustained in the crash.
